    Letters, Lines and Watercolours

    Simple “no-fear” line-drawing and watercolour techniques for all levels of students who want to add illustration to lettering projects or as stand alone art. Images will develop from drawing to finished work in colour…from florals to fruits and some abstract with opportunity to add text. [ 2 or 2 1/2 days. All levels. ]

    Letters, Lines and Watercolours 2

    A perfect companion class to “Letters, lines…” but not a pre-requisite. Emphasis on simple landscape, additional florals, and more focus on adding text to the images. [ 2 days. All levels. ]

    Colourful Words and Letters

    Creating visual impact in lettering projects by using of a variety of mediums, techniques and by using colour and texture with the text itself to enhance the over all design of lettering projects. [ 2 days. All levels, but should know
    at least one hand. ]

    Watercolours and Lettering for Journals

    Creating visually exciting pages in a journal of the studentʼs choice. Simple illustration, watercolour and text options to make the most of the “authorʼs” thoughts and gatherings to become a gem to hold in your hands. [ 2 days. All levels. ]

    Finding the Source

    Few of us can spontaneously “call up the creative muses”! A workshop to provide a launching point for a variety of lettering and art projects. Students will go through a series of exercises to experiment with mediums, techniques and choice of alphabets to find the art inside each of us. [ 2 days. All levels, but should know at least one hand. ]

    Drawing, Painting and Lettering on Fabric

    Creating images on fabric to take your lettering and painting to a new dimension. From abstracts, illustration and florals for a variety of projects ie: banners, one of kind pieces of art and books. [ 2 -3 days. All levels. ]

    Lettering on the Dark Side

    Writing on black gives immediate impact. Attention must be given to using the right tools, and the texture of the medium to form beautiful, crisp letters. We will use a variety of mediums to create “punch” on the dark page. [ 2 days. All levels, but must know at least one hand. ]

    Making the Mark

    A wonderful “mark” can be the inspiration, the core or addition to a calligraphic piece but often we are predictable in how the mark is executed. With a series of exercises using a variety of tools and mediums weʼll discover how the “mark” can be the launching place for our art. [ 2 days. All Levels, but should know at least one hand. ]

    From Brush to Pen – From Images to Letters

    A five day class starting with simple illustration, watercolour then to lettering to open a multitude of directions for students to explore. Techniques in watercolour, drawing and variations to lettering take students on a progressive journey as varied as the students themselves! [ 5 days. All levels, but should know at least one hand. ]
